"Life is beauty."
Project Overview
Celebration Slam is a live spoken word and percussive performance our team will present for the Dia de los Muertos Exhibition on October. You will work in groups of four to write an original group poem to perform in "spoken word" style and design and create an original rhythm to accompany the spoken word piece. The poem will be performed with the drum rhythm playing in the background to enhance the piece.
Project Theme
Each group will write one unified poem that will celebrate the lives they want to live. We are hoping that each poem will be a type of mantra, a promise to life in the mirror of death.
Group Roles
Project Manager - Vincent
Stage Manager - Paolo
Head Editor- Zamira
Documentarist and Photojournalist - Sarina
Project Manager - This role is given to someone that can lead their group and keep an eye on everything
Stage Manager - This person was in charge of creating the movements that we incorporated into our spoken word performance
Head Editor - This role is given to someone that is able to spot grammatical and spelling errors and make sure our poem was in right stage script format
Documentarist and Photojournalist - This person was in charge of taking photos and videos of brainstorming webs and performances and document them onto this site.
*These roles were not limited to the people that had them. Everyone pitched in with everything.
