Rehearsal Reflections
Paolo - I do agree that we are just saying it without any emotion. I feel like we did a really good job at memorizing our poem on time. I feel like we did well on our word timings, especially in unison, because it all started from learning our lines quicker, and we got more time to rehearse together because we all had our lines memorized. I feel like I could've improved on staying on task, especially when we were coming up with it, and also when the others were rehearsing, I was just messing around flying airplanes and stuff, and not practicing with my group, I could've given more ideas for the poem and shared more my opinions.
Vincent - I think we need to emphasis more on certain words and phrases. And also practice our hand gestures and motions. Then, practice our add ins for when two or all of us speak.
Zamira - I thought that we needed to put more emotion into our piece and speak louder. Also work on our timing because our timing was off when we talked all together. I think we should work on making our lines more powerful. I think we should have practiced more we could have met our goals.
Sarina - I think that we need to focus on being more powerful by standing in neutral and looking confident. I find myself looking down a lot when I'm not speaking and I think that can distract from how powerful our message is. The more confident we look and sound the more they will listen to our words. I think we have the words and we all agree on our message, now it's about how we execute it. I think we do add more emotion when we are practicing on our own but I think something happens when we get on stage and start talking on the microphones. I think we need to work on our stage presence and how to let the microphones enhance our poem, not hold in what we have been rehearsing.
